I have known and worked with Linda for many years and in that time I have witnessed the kindness and compassion that she has demonstrated to both her patients and her family. Her love and devotion are overwhelmingly profound to her patients and family alike. Not only is she a great mom and nurse, she also volunteers in our community and sits with people in need of help or when they are not well. Linda is amazing.
She goes above and beyond for all of her patients and even her coworkers. The compassion that she has shown one of her peers who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer goes above and beyond and is a true display of Linda's character. When she was in the hospital Linda came and visited her (on her off days) regularly. Once she was discharged home Linda went and not only visited but cared for her there too. She also takes her to appointments and encourages her by praying for her, being a positive influence, being a support system and giving her compassion and peace of mind during such a hard time. Linda has even gone part-time in order to spend more time with her family and to give to others.
We need more nurses like Linda. She is such an amazing and selfless lady. She is wonderful, without expecting anything in return. She has a heart of gold. One of the latest examples of Linda's kindness and selfless acts was just a couple of weeks ago when she went to pick up her co-worker, now friend, and took her out for a day of pampering. No chemo, doctors, nurses, monitors or medical equipment to remind her of the cancer taking over her body. Linda took her for a foot massage and made her feel like life was nothing more than routine, if only for one day. We all want to thank you for being such an amazing person and giving so much of yourself to others. You are truly extraordinary!
