Tammy is an exemplary nurse who fulfills the standards of Beaumont every day that she works. She is a great team player and brings excellent clinical background to the workfoce in ICU. she is always willing to help other coworkers no matter how busy the unit gets. Most of all she gives excellent care to the patients and is always looking out for the best outcome for the patient. For example when a patient was having complications of sepsis from an abscess in the abdomen, Tammy coordinated care with the surgeons to take actions as soon as possible, she helped stabilize the patient before she went into respiratory distress by getting anesthesia involved and getting the patient intubated. The patient's outcome was improved eventually with all the timely actions and clinical expertise that Tammy used to coordinate care for this particular patient. On another incidence a patient was admitted with pancreatitis and Tammy took the time to comb the patient's very tangled hair. Tammy washed the patient's hair and combed it down thoroughly which took a very long time since the patient's hair was extremely difficult to brush down. Tammy went down to the gift shop and bought the patient a hair accessory to tie up her hair. The family was extremely grateful towards Tammy's kind actions. Tammy took the extra effort to take care of this patient even though this patient was not even in her assignment, she was simply helping another coworker because the unit was extremely busy. These above mentioned incidences are just a few examples of the great attitude that Tammy shows coming in to work everyday. Beaumont is very fortunate to have Tammy on their workforce.
