Kristen was a huge blessing to our family when both of our kids were admitted to the hospital for RSV and pneumonia. We were very fortunate to have her as our nurse from Saturday through Tuesday. From the moment I met Kristin, I knew she was going to be a fabulous nurse. She was so sweet and very patient with our kids. I was a concerned mother and she was always there to comfort me, listen to my concerns and answer my questions. Seeing Kristin walk into our room each morning was a relief. I knew my kids would be in great hands and I knew any obstacles we faced that day would be a little easier with Kristin by our side. She is an amazing nurse.

When Kristen arrived for her shift she had no idea that in this room was a patient who had a hysterectomy earlier in the day and had been in severe pain because of her catheter. She had no idea that this pain reminded me of pain years ago when I had a placental abruption that caused my daughter to be born at rest. She had no idea that I had 2 other girls at home with family members. I was worrying about them all.
Kristen walked into my room and asked how I was doing. I told her and as she listened to every word, she took notes and was interested in what I was saying. When I was done, she asked some questions and then smiled and said, "I don't want you to worry anymore, we will get this figured out" and I believed her. She made some phone calls and did several things to help me. She told me to call her whenever I needed anything. I know she had other patients but I felt like I was the only one. Kristen is very smart, funny, patient, and beautiful inside and out. She was encouraging and supportive. She took great care of me.
