Pam Smith is an outstanding role model. Her compassionate care & clinical skills is an example of a great nurse. We have observed Pam's interaction with patients & families over the years and she always puts them first.
Despite fighting a life threatening battle with a personal disease process, Pam always manages to put personal needs aside and with a beautiful smile gives her patients top notch care. Our patients, families, and staff all benefit from Pam's enduring human spirit of kindness and she is one of the most committed coworkers we have ever worked with. Willing to always lend a hand to peers and she seeks to provide best nursing care for each individual unique patient.
Delightful to work with and always has a sunny disposition! One nurse commented, "I feel I am a better nurse having the opportunity to work with Pam!"
Another nurse commented that Pam epitomizes Philippines 4:8; "Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoeverthings are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are at good report; if those things be anyvirtue, and if those be any praise, think on these things."
A patient remarked that he had never had anyone treat him as well as Pam. Class act! Pam is a true example of the service excellence standards and values of Hamilton. Treats patients like they are family.
Physician comments - Pam is smart compassionate and great to work with. Goes beyond the call of duty for patients, families, and co-workers. Despite her own health issues, focuses on caring for others and avoids drawing attention to self.
Another patient commented, "Pam is angelic and caring to patients. She does what so many nurses tend to forget about. You just don't see that kind of care as much anymore. I appreciate her for taking such good care of me so that I could be discharged home!
