I am a hospice volunteer/patient advocate for a patient in 261. I observed Annie taking care of my patient. She always listened to the patient and family concerns. She was very efficient, helpful and kind, a good leader and educator with the student nurses. She was always respectful. She’s the epitome which every nurse should strive in my estimation. For instance, When my patient was in severe pain an hour after receiving Fentanyl, Annie put on a Fentanyl patch and told me she’d check in a half an hour to be sure it worked and if it didn’t she’d give the medication IV. True to her word she was back in half an hour.
