He supported me mentally, physically, and emotionally
First, I would like to say thank you, to all the Nursing Staff at the Dialysis Center. I am a Vietnam Veteran, and in Vietnam, it is "God, your gun, and your brother." I was a patient on dialysis and near death when I arrived at the VA Dialysis Center. I realized that the rest of my life is based on God, the Dialysis Machine, and my nurse, Antonio Vega. I had a hard time adjusting to this change of lifestyle. I had a difficult time adjusting to the removal of the catheter from my chest and two needles in my arm. Antonio knew all the answers to my questions which gave me a better understanding of my situation. I thank him for the professional care, empathy, his vast knowledge and the endless respect shown to me. Hesupported me mentally, physically, and emotionally, as I adjusted to all the changes associated with my condition.
Antonio took me from fear to hope, and from near death to life. I never felt this well, being sick.
Nurse Vega, I thank you a thousand times.
