Nominating Emily Harton for the Daisy Award was easy. Emily graduated with a BSN from UAMS in 2001. She was an Honor graduate and a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She has worked in CVRU at BHMC-NLR since 2002. She came to us as a new nurse and is now a Clinical RN III and true leader in her area. Emily excels in whatever she undertakes but it is her compassionate, caring spirit that sets her apart. This is evidenced by the numerous Press Ganey surveys, as well as letters and cards, that are sent by patients to Administration, myself, and the dept with positive comments about Emily. One of her peers sums it up with the following comments: "Emily is very thoughtful. She called me at home one day to see if I wanted her to switch days with me so I could have an extra day off to rest since I had just returned from vacation. She always does nice things like this and goes above and beyond for everyone!!"
