Deb is very deserving of the DAISY Award. She treats others as you’d like to be treated yourself. Her focus is always directed at what is best for the patient. She focuses on each patient’s needs such as explaining what needs to be done to prepare for his/her procedure, giving reassurance, and providing care. She demonstrates a genuine concern which can be observed in her interaction patients, family and co-workers.
Deb is a very committed nurse who sets high standards for herself. She takes a positive approach to her work. Deb readily assumes the lead nurse role in the department. Staff notes that she leads by example, communicates well and helps others. Deb is a go to person that others seek out when they need information or assistance. The Pre-op Department is very fortunate to have such a dedicated committed nurse providing patient care!
