We had to say goodbye to our mother in the hospital. I met Alex as he was caring for my father at the same time. I believe Alex has a gift of compassion and caring in all situations. This situation was a little extraordinary since he cared for my father while he was losing his wife and after. To say he listens is an understatement. He leaned in and really listened to a terminal patient with a broken heart. My father loved him being on duty as much as we did. I cannot describe grief along with terminal concern, which is what my sister and I were going through. To have a nurse ease this is near impossible, but when Alex was here we just felt better. He gives the patient what the patient needs. You are so lucky to have Alex. He's found his calling. Please foster this. He makes a difference.
