My son was hospitalized to start his third round of chemo. This time around we had an opportunity to have the most amazing nurse who went above and beyond her job duty.
With all the craziness that is going on with this virus, she always made us feel safe.
Brenna always:
• Answered my questions no matter what,
• Had a smile on her face when she came into the room,
• Never made us feel rushed or like just another patient.
Brenna took her time and really got to know my son. I think that was the most important gift she shared, along with the medicine he needed. This is a scary time for kids, so finding something to help them as she did, by allowing him to meet a friend who is going through what he is, was very helpful. My son said, "Momma she is like me and takes medicine too". As a seven-year-old and not understanding all that he is going through, this helped him in a lot of ways.
Thank you from our family. It means the world to us, to have had Brenna as our caretaker.
