There was an unexpected death of a young adult in the emergency department who was accompanied by many family members and friends, four of whom were siblings and a cousin to the deceased. Sheronne offered her assistance to the ED staff and she stayed with these children the entire time. Sheronne played a pivotal role in offering comfort and emotional support to these children during this most difficult time for this family. Sheronne established a connection with these children and gained their trust. One of the children was wearing a little pair of pumps and Sheronne changed them for her and gave her a comfortable pair of slipper socks. Sheronne ensured they had something to eat and drink and provided them with tissues. Sheronne stayed with these children for two and half hours which went beyond her scheduled shift. Sheronne was an asset during this situation in that she went above and beyond to provide comfort and support to these children.
