Rachel Thorp is a very good nurse. From day one, she was very caring. She introduced herself with a smile and made sure I was comfortable. Once you see someone with a smile on their face, you know you have a good one. She made sure I took everything I should have taken before surgery. She kept coming in and out of the room checking on me. She had a smile on her face every time. When I got out of surgery, I had her again before I went home. She was still smiling and when I saw her I was so happy. She went beyond her duties. I never really called her with the call light because she always popped in, even when it came to me eating lunch and dinner. She called and asked if they could send me certain things. Now that I am leaving, I see her again. She stopped by to tell me goodbye. If I had to come back to this floor, I would request her. She was a very good nurse. No attitude. She came promptly. And if she didn't know the answer, she came back with the answer. I thank her for my speedy recovery.
