My family and I would like to nominate Leslie for the DAISY Award. Leslie was my father's nurse for four days after he fell and broke his hip. Leslie is one of the sweetest, kindest nurses I've ever come across. My father has dementia and it was difficult finding a local rehab facility for him. Leslie reached out to the admitting department at a local facility and spoke with them directly, explaining that although my father had dementia he had been the type of patient every nurse could only dream of having. She also was so comforting to myself and my sister through this very difficult time.
I would love for Leslie to be recognized for the care she gives to her patients and the support she gives to the families.
