Ashley is what a true RN should be; she is caring, respectful, a great leader and teacher. Her patients all love her because of the caring character she has. If patients are in a wheelchair, she'd personally walk them to their car if needed. Ashley makes sure all questions are answered and treatment is understood. She treats all of her coworkers with the utmost respect. All of the providers working with us have so much respect, love and care for her.
Ashley is compassionate not just with patients but with employees as well. Ashley is always showing concern and love to all patients, by making sure their referrals are in place, and making sure the social worker talks to the patient as needed, etc. She not only shows compassion for patients but with coworkers as well, providers, MPA's, EVS staff, Clinical staff, etc. If someone is absent, she'll text them if she has their number to make sure they are alright or if there is something she can do to help. She always asks her coworkers if there is something she can do to help out.
Ashley is the most trustworthy person I've ever met. She is honest about anything; she has her way of explaining things to you. She's transparent because what you see is what you get. She's equally honest with everyone, regardless of who it is, whether it's a Sr. VP, EVS staff, or patients. She is respectful with everyone and she follows the golden rule 100%. Ashley always shows respect to the medical assistants and is always saying that she can learn a lot of things from them as well. Patients always compliment her on her "southern respect" she has for everyone. We all go to her when we need someone to talk to the EVS personnel when something isn't done correctly or if there was something incorrect in the computer, because she has a certain way to talk to people that automatically calms them down.
Ashley is a true leader! She's an amazing RN that is always willing to show others her skills and willing to lead by example the rest of the clinical team/staff. She is always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Ashley is always looking for better ways to facilitate things for the patients and coworkers as well. If she can make the process easier, faster and more accurate, she will most certainly use that method. She is always striving for the clinic to be the best in all aspects, even if that means performing something that's out of her scope of "job title". She will go to the front and start checking in patients if needed, if our MPA was not here.
Ashley is very responsible in managing the supplies needed at the Bachman Clinic, always thinking of NOT over buying supplies especially if staff would not be really using them accordingly.
Ashley is very deserving of a DAISY award. I'm a medical assistant and one thing that stood out for me is when she told me, "It doesn't matter if you're an MA and I'm an RN, there are many things you know that I don't know, so teach me and I'll teach you!"
