I am a staff member and I recently came to the hospital very sick. Sara has worked with me every night since. She listens, is very attentive, caring, energetic, bubbly, explanatory, and encouraging. She is the best nurse I've ever seen. She's very personable and personalizes her patient care. She has picked up when I'm exhausted and needed rest and has gone out of her way to make me feel like a worthy human being. She is amazing! Other staff members talk wonderful things about her and she's inspiring. She sat down for patient teaching and answered all of my questions. She's open and direct in all the things regarding my wellbeing. I honestly feel like I have a friendship with my nurse. She's personable and professional. I respect her very much. She was thoughtful and even shared personal experiences to help encourage me in my pursuit to become healthier. Instead of spending all of her time at the nurse's desk, she talks to me. We've had wonderful conversations! She is extraordinary and unique. My hospital stay will extend to seven days and I will still have her for 2 more nights. I hope and aspire to be as good of a nurse as she has been to me. I'm so proud and thankful to have her in my care. Thank you so much, Sara Ellis, you've made my difficult time so much more enjoyable and unforgettable.
