Vicky Valdez is one of the best nurses I have ever known. Her skills and knowledge are amazing! She is always orienting someone or helping us out. Whether it is a nursing student or an employee. She teaches with passion, kindness and the confidence of one who has taught many. She is a person who makes you feel comfortable and confident. She also makes me feel comfortable to approach her with anything. She has taught me many things and refuses to let me lose my nursing skills; although I am not a bedside nurse. Vicky goes above and beyond to help the families in her care. She is kind, no matter what the parents of our little ones have done in the past. She always gives them exceptional care and understanding. I have seen her go and get food for parents and pay for it out of her own pocket when the mothers have not eaten anything for that day.
