Marie is responsible for both the Critical Care Services as well as Heart and Vascular. Marie works extremely hard to ensure that the patient, family, and staff have a great experience at BGP. Marie impacts staff and patients in the following ways.
Marie role models and is able to see the big picture and always work to ensure she presents herself in a professional manner. She has completed both her BSN and certification. She always displays a positive attitude.
Marie creates a professional environment. She is aware of the strengths and weakness of her staff and works to improve their skills. Marie was very instrumental in ensuring staff complete bedside shift report and she worked with CCU leader to improve staffing.
Marie motivates staff to achieve outcomes. She wrote many stories for the Magnet document, worked to open the SICU, is working to decrease readmission rates for Hf patients, and increased space for cardio in the new medical office building.
