My child was admitted after a serious fall that resulted in a brain injury. Megan was our nurse for one day. She was nice to my family and took exceptional care of our baby. She answered all of our questions and helped me when I asked. She is knowledgeable and a terrific patient advocate! This hospital is lucky to have someone that clearly loves their job and excels at it the way she does! Thank you, Megan!

Megan was amazing. So kind and genuine. Very knowledgeable and willing to do whatever. I think she really knows medicine and patient care. You are lucky to have her!

These comments validated what Megan's colleagues and leadership team already knew. Her director says "Megan has held many roles on 8C. Her strength as a charge nurse and preceptor paved the way for her position as our education coordinator. She has been recognized by both her peers and patients as having a calm comforting demeanor in some of the most critical moments. As a charge nurse on the unit Megan organizes the day in a team approach. She rounds on her coworkers and can identify when there is someone in need of assistance. It is no surprise that Megan is being recognized with a DAISY Award. She is kind, compassionate and aware of her patients, their family and those people she works with."
Her manager mirrors these sentiments sharing that Megan "recently graduated with her FNP and will be joining the Neurosurgery Team as a Nurse Practioner! Megan is kind and compassionate. She goes the extra mile to provide excellent care and make each of her patients feel as if they are her only patient."
