I've been in and out of the La Crosse ER the past few months for my recent diagnosis of Crohn's. All but one time Tom was my nurse. Each time I came in, Tom was very professional yet compassionate. He made sure I was comfortable, explained everything to me in a language I could understand, and made sure I felt as though I was top priority. He was very gentle at putting in my IV. To ease my mind as I experienced excruciating pain from my flare ups, he would walk me through each process that they would perform from blood work to a CT scan, to admitting me to the hospital. Each time I was in Tom's care, I felt I was special, and not just another patient walking through the ER. The last time I was admitted, Tom stopped in to see how I was doing; I truly felt he cared.
Tom shows that he truly cares for people and wants them to get well.
