I was sent to Stormont Vail Health due to some pregnancy complications. I gave birth to a little girl at 30 weeks gestation. I was not able to see her at all on the day I delivered, due to being on IVs, getting sick and not feeling well. This was super hard for me. Julie Ashley was my nurse the next day. She was so cheerful and always had a smile on her face. I was unable to shower so she gave me a sponge bath. This was great as I had been unable to shower for two days. After that I was ready to meet my daughter for the first time. Julie took me downstairs to meet her and this meant the world to me. Julie is an amazing nurse and deserves this award. She is the most compassionate individual who has an amazing bedside manner and makes a person comfortable around her. She puts a smile on your face even when you are not having a good day.
