We were expecting twins and had an emergency C-section at 35 weeks. One of our sons didn't make it. Danielia was our first nurse coming into the NICU working both with our son L, who passed away, and with our son, P, who was transferred to the NICU. During our 9 day stay, Danielia would continually stop in to see how P., my husband and I were doing and to ask about arrangements for L.. While at our son's funeral, I was told that Danielia came in on her own time, to hold P. at 10:00 am - which was the time of our son, L's funeral service. Finding out that she held our other son, P while the service was going on means the world to us. That was so touching.
I will never forget her and she will always be in my prayers. She shows true compassion. I knew P would be in good hands in the NICU. But, I would never have dreamed that it would be care to that level especially, with it being on her own time.
She is an Angel!
