My first blood transfusion took a long time to process. Diane was my nurse. She was so kind and caring and educated me on the ins & outs of transfusion a very patient person! When the product finally arrived, it was about 4:00 pm. Most of the staff and patients were already gone (except dear Chrissy, another RN in Short Stay). I told Diane I could come back the next day for the blood (I knew she was staying overtime just to take care of me). She responded, "You need blood and I'm going to see that you get it!" What a great nurse/person! Thank you.
