Today is the Birthday of one of our patients, H. Mike heard about H yesterday when she came in through our ED department and charmed all of the staff with her pleasant demeaner. He learned that it would be her ninety first birthday. That evening he purchased a birthday cake that his wife decorated, and a birthday card for all staff to sign. This brought a big smile from H and a great big hug for Mike. He made sure she would have a wonderful birthday!

Having worked with Mike for many years, I can say this is his consistent, compassionate, style. Earlier this year, he would come in on his days off to stay with a male patient whom he had developed a trusting relationship with. He was able to maintain a safe environment for the patient and staff. Mike even provided transportation to be sure the patient got discharged home safely. Mike is a great example of CREDO and is much deserving of this award and its recognition! We thank and appreciate Mike for all he does!
