There are many examples as to why Bobbie Jo deserves the DAISY Award. I was reminded of this most recently during her care of a patient and his wife of 35 years that transitioned to Comfort Care on her shift. Bobbie was an excellent example of the caring and giving of self needed when supporting patients and family members in such emotional times. She even lent her personal music device to provide a comforting ambience at the family's request.
I often point out these gracious gestures and she simply acknowledges them as the right thing to do. She is dedicated to excellent patient care and is a confident leader in critical situations, all the while remembering the little things that mean so much to our patients.
