Joe was my nurse for four days until I was discharged. Of course, when I was first admitted, I was scared. The very first morning I had Joe as my nurse, I was very frustrated, and I took that frustration out on Joe. I apologized to him for that, and I had to apologize to him repeatedly during my stay. He made my stay as comfortable as humanly possible. He made sure I had everything I needed, from my food, to my medicine (which was on time, each and every time he administered it.) Joe and I conversed and realized we have much in common, but just the little conversations, such as how we both love Popeyes, meant the most. It got my mind off my pain. I am truly appreciative of Joe and his kindness. He was very pleasant. Honestly, during my stay, when Joe would talk to me, I almost forgot I was being medically treated for something serious. That's how comfortable Joe made me. I truly feel as though he cared about me and my health and I will always be grateful for that. He has inspired me so much, that I am even making preparations to go back to school and become a nurse because I want to help people like Joe has helped me.
