Gratia was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient and his daughter. The patient wrote:
Gratia is a wonderful and caring nurse. She was very attentive to my needs and anticipated my needs and exceeded by expectation. She was always very courteous and pleasant. She communicated well with my doctors and other hospital staff. She is great with patient families. Gratia is a service role model. I had a stroke while in the cath lab and Gratia was instrumental in helping me with my recovery and activities of daily living (eating, etc.) She is a lovely lady.
My daughter filled out the form for me as I had a stroke and lost right hand function.
Comments from Patient’s Daughter:
We were blessed to have Gratia Ifft take care of Dad last week. I was able to take breaks for work and other things while Gratia was on duty because I trusted her to take great care of my father. She is a very kind person with strong communication skills. She has a confident, no nonsense presence about her that instills trust. I am so grateful that Gratia was Dad’s day nurse all 3 days he was in critical care. She was calming, reassuring influence in a very trying time for our family.
