Ellen has been an excellent nurse, she took extra care to give me all instructions where needed, help when needed and was always there when I pushed my “call button”. She was thorough with all of her explanations and she went above and beyond to help. Most importantly when I learned my son had a VSD murmur yesterday and I was upset she assured me that everything would be ok. She took the time to be sure I was no longer upset, she made sure that I understood what the cardiologist had said and the prognosis to this very common murmur. She really made me see the “other side” of things, not just the bad and the scary. I never once felt like I was inconveniencing her. She was such a great help and was a pleasure to have as our nurse. She’s amazing at what she does and truly deserves the DAISY Award.
