Tracie Myers-Card, RN
ICU
Whether or not it is
a critical procedure,
surgery can be scary
for a patient. That was
the expectation for one
recent patient. But the
interactions this patient
had with every person during her stay
helped make a challenging time much
less anxious. One of her caregivers was
Tracie Myers-Card, who affectionately
became known as her “ICU angel,” Tracie
was at her bedside, tending to her needs and
sharing her personal experiences, which
helped ease the patient’s concerns. Tracie
was “attentive, listened, was patient, and
explained exactly what and why things
were happening.” Tracie showed true
heartfelt compassion, kindness and
outstanding patient care.
