“Julie is the primary charge nurse for the Surgical Services department. Hands down, she routinely demonstrates the traits that one would hope for and expect a nurse worthy of a DAISY award to display. Julie does a fantastic job coordinating a complex department and keeping pace with the ever changing surgery schedule. She coordinates the surgery cases between Same Day Surgery/AM Admission, Pre-Op Holding, the operating suites, and the PACU. Julie handles staffing issues to insure proper coverage in all surgery suites for scrub nurses, circulating nurses, and surgical technicians including their associated break times. Julie is a consummate professional who demonstrates the dedicated attention to detail needed and focuses on every task at hand in the most complete manner possible.
