Lauren Robbins, RN, BSN was nominated for the DAISY Award by three family members of a critical patient.
We felt Lauren was an angel sent to us from God. She was extraordinary in the care that she gave to my father. Her knowledge that she has is exceptional and put our family at ease many times. The day my father came out of the OR, he was not expected to make it. Her aggressive care and quick thinking made a difference in that. I am a nurse myself and I am very thankful for her.
Lauren has the right balance of personality and intelligence. She was truly a godsend to our family. Lauren made us feel confident that our grandpa is in good hands. She is an amazing nurse. Even when our grandpa was not her patient, she still checked in on him and our family.
I would like to nominate Lauren for this award. My dad has had two surgeries in less than two weeks, and after the second, was given a very minimal chance of living. Lauren stood by his side and was not only a nurse but a friend and godsend to our family. She went above and beyond her nursing of my dad to make sure all medical procedures and tests were explained until we all completely understood. Any questions we had she not only answered, but went to great lengths to get them if she did not know. She not only listened with her ear but with her heart which is needed in situations like this.
