Our son was born at Mission Hospital at 33 weeks and we could not have made it through the process without Julia's extraordinary help and compassion.
As first time parents, we were already very anxious about having a newborn. Adding a stay in the NICU exacerbated our anxiety and Julia made it her mission to listen to our concerns and help us navigate through our time there.
Julia was always so very gentle with him and taught us everything that we would need to know about caring for him at home. There is not a day that goes by that we don't talk to our little guy about the amazing nurse, Julia, who helped care for him. We truly believe that her compassion and expertise helped our baby boy thrive during his time in the NICU and beyond.
We could never thank Julia enough for all that she did for us. It is our hope that through this award, we are able to give back just a little of what she gave to us.
