With every shift that I have had the pleasure to work with Claudia, she has displayed incredible compassion and knowledge. There are many examples of this, however, one stands out to me the most. There is a chronic kiddo that comes to Parker every couple of weeks. She has a debilitating seizure disorder and is followed by the Neuro team at the main campus. Her parents have a set seizure protocol. There are times when the protocol, despite being followed, is unsuccessful. This requires her parents to escalate her level of care. Upon arrival at the Parker ED, they are greeted by Claudia. Immediately, the family is at ease, knowing that their child will get the best care. She is able to anticipate what this child will need in order to stabilize her and make it a smooth transition to her Neuro team at the main campus. Claudia's PICU and ED experience puts the family in a safe headspace while reassuring her teammates that they are working with the best that there is. She is a valuable asset to Children's and I am blessed to call her my friend.
