Dan Danjanic is the RN Care Manager in PCMHI (Primary Care Mental Health Integration)in Biloxi. During the Behavioral Health transition, Dan has been the only constant person in PCMHI. For about 3 months he was the only employee in the program but he kept things running smoothly by taking care of the veterans that were referred from Primary Care. These veterans needed Behavioral Health care and Dan gave it consistently.
Dan, a veteran himself, is a staunch advocate for his fellow soldiers. He takes extra time to meet with each of them and their families. He works diligently to get them triaged and seen by a provider. He is the epitome of what the ICARE values stand for. He has INTEGRITY. He shows integrity by building rapport with our most vulnerable veterans. He shows COMMITTMENT everyday and it is unmatched with his daily dedication towards his job and responsibilities. He is a staunch ADVOCATE for the veterans. His passion for helping the veterans is seen daily by his colleagues. He always asks the providers to "squeeze in one more veteran" to their already full schedule. Dan's RESPECT for the veterans is unspoken yet understood having been in their shoes as a soldier.
Dan exudes EXCELLENCE which is indicative by the care he provides and the support that he lends to our department including the providers, Outpatient Behavioral Health and PACT. We are so lucky to have such a high quality/caliber nurse to work with and our Veterans frequently mention they are too.
