Kaitlend is an outstanding nurse. She goes above and beyond for her patients. She is an effective advocate for their needs. She seeks advice and clarification as needed. She participates on Transformational Care Teams to help improve hospital issues. She is positive with patients,families and staff.

Kaitlend has illustrated her commitment to patients and her co-workers repeatedly. She has taken it upon herself to observe and identify opportunities to improve the workflow and expedite our patient flow through our hospital. She tackles new problems with a smile and sound logic. She has incredible initiative and jumped right in on the Discharge Team with an attitude of we can improve the process and she commits to the work and communication necessary to test out and find a plan that will work. This was demonstrated with her commitment and communication she sent out to the RN's around the challenges with the Discharge Team. She is the RN model we hope to replicate: Patient centered, unafraid of change, global vision and pleasant to work with.
