Tara impacts life's most sacred moments and demonstrates responsible stewardship every day she works. One of life's most sacred moments is the birth of a child. Because most births are happy fun-filled occasions, we tend to forget about these parents that have sick babies or traumatic premature deliveries. Tara is an amazing nurse with exceptional skills and knowledge. She brings her A-game every day. From resuscitation in the delivery room to discharging a baby home with its parents- Tara does it all. Tara exhibits exceptional knowledge and is a resource for not only parents but also those she works with. She genuinely cares for and bonds with the parents of the tiny babies she cares for and helps them through one of the most precious, precarious, and scary times in a parent's life, all with love and compassion! A prime example of how Tara exceeds expectations is the way she keeps up with some of her tiny babies families and becomes a valued lifelong friend and resource. She continues to make a difference in her patient's lives even after discharge. Recently she helped a young mother that had extremely premature twins take her babies to doctor's appointments after they graduated from our NICU. If that does not exemplify the DAISY Award, I am not sure what does!
