Bethany was caring for a patient who was rapidly declining. At the end of her shift, she decided to stay with the patient and his wife because no other family was going to be able to make it in and the oncoming shift wasn't going to be able to dedicate enough time for them for a couple of hours. She stayed with them until the patient passed. The patient's wife wrote Bethany a letter to thank her and said how appreciative she was for the kind gesture.
