My husband had a total knee surgery done by Dr. B. Speaking and writing minimal English, I have asked my daughter in law to transcribe this DAISY nomination for a wonderful and caring Nurse by the name of Tina (Christina Walker) in PACU. As I sat waiting for my husband of 42 years, worry began to overcome me. "Is he ok? Is the surgery going alright?" I sat in the waiting room for what seemed to be eternity. People who were also waiting with me all disappeared and I was left by myself with more worries. "Where is he now? This surgery is taking a long time. Is he ok?" Finally a doctor came out and began to tell me about the surgery! Not understanding anything she said, I just nodded my head and smiled. After the doctor left, again worry took over. I began to pray. Out of the prayer an angel by the name of Tina came out with her jacket and purse in her hand. She saw the distraught look in my face and spoke very sweetly and patiently to me stating "would you like to see your husband?" Before I could even say yes, Tina asked me to follow her, in which she took me to PACU to see my husband. Full of joy and excitement that he was ok, I wanted to thank my angel who came at the right time and relieved my anxiety and worry in regards to my husband. Thank you Tina for being an extraordinary nurse even when you are off duty.

My mother in law wanted me to write on her behalf regarding Tina. I also wanted to thank Tina for being kind and being there for my in laws at such a stressful time. May God truly bless you!!
