My grandmother was admitted to Memorial SICU on October 25 with a cerebral aneurysm. Robin was there the day she was admitted and was immediately very hands-on with my family. Robin always made sure to come out to the waiting room and update my family on my grandma's latest status, and especially made sure to let my grandfather know what was going on. This was really important to all of us that she took the time to explain everything to us and to him as this was a very hard and shocking time for our family. Robin provided the absolute best care she could to my grandmother and was always very patient, kind, and warm towards my family. Robin always let us know what she was doing while she took care of my grandma, be it adjusting her, changing her medicine, or talking about the next step we need to take. My grandpa even felt comfortable enough around Robin to joke with her, which says a lot about a person in such a critical time.

Robin then took care of my grandma again on October 30, the day my grandma passed away. Robin was there through it all, and my family would not have wanted any other nurse. Many nurses took care of my grandma during those quick five days, but Robin stood out to us the most. My grandpa was constantly asking the other nurses when Robin would be back to work. Robin was always very realistic with my family, which was much appreciated. We wanted to have hope during this time, but not false hope. Robin always told us her honest thoughts about my grandma's condition, and we always trusted her opinion. She always talked to us as if she was a member of our own family providing their opinion.

We want to thank Robin wholeheartedly for the care she provided my family's wife, mom, and grandma. Even though it was not a positive outcome, Robin made our five days there just a little brighter and warmer. We can't thank her enough for being there in our time of need.
