Lorna is a shining example of what it means to be a team player. Her dedication to the patients and families is outstanding and her ability to be flexible with her schedule and time is greatly appreciated. At a time when the NICU was in desperate need of experienced night shift nurses, she was the only one who volunteered to change her schedule and went to nights to help ensure the unit could be staffed safely. She provides leadership and clinical experience that is needed in the NICU. She even extended her night shift rotation when asked by the unit manager. Her expertise on nights is not only appreciated by her peers, managers and educators, but also by the unit attendings. She has been instrumental to help our new hires develop the skills needed to care for the population that we serve in NICU. She is an asset to the unit, a strong clinician and a great resource. The providers and her peers appreciate her. Lorna's wealth of knowledge and experience makes her a valuable clinician in the NICU.
