When someone loves what they do, it shows. It definitely shows in Gloria Jenkins. Not only in knowing her job, but actually enjoying her patients and making them feel like her only priority. Gloria greeted me every morning with her contagious smile and infectious laugh. I always had a great day (even when I didn’t want to) when Gloria was my nurse. I can look back now and realize that when I did have a “bad day” Gloria wasn’t there.
She has such a beautiful personality and truly cares for people. She took the time to listen to me when I needed to talk and encourage me to keep fighting to get myself healthy. I even requested her on several occasions because I felt so comfortable with her.
She is always moving; whether helping a patient or instructing a student nurse in proper procedure. One day when asked a question by a student nurse, she didn’t just tell her what to do. She asked the student “OK, what are your steps? Which ones have you done? So, what comes next?” Still playing the role of teacher but in a way that let the student recall her training and better prepare her for the next time she may have a question while also building her self esteem and confidence.
I am so grateful for the compassion and genuine care Gloria showed me during my two week stay. I wish she could be my personal nurse! I have been hospitalized many times over the last 25+ years and Gloria is my all time favorite nurse. God absolutely knew what He was doing (as always) when He called Gloria to become a nurse. Gloria is a wonderful person and nurse. She loves her job. Does a wonderful job taking care of my mom. Whenever I need her she is there. She cares about her patients a lot. I could never ask for a better nurse to take care of my mother. She is loving and caring. Very respectful. She deserves to have the DAISY award. We love Gloria very much!

Nurse Gloria has been truly a blessing. She tended to all of my needs whether it was medicinal, physical, or emotional. Nurse Gloria I feel has been very professional while being what I consider a friend. I believe she is a very important addition to the medical field.
