While waiting for his surgery, a recent patient started to feel the onset of a slight panic attack, and feared he would pass out. One of his caregivers, Kay Coffman, immediately took action by bringing him a cold compress.
But even more meaningful to the patient, Kay was able to empathize. Her sincere concern and compassion made a lasting impression with her patient. “She stayed at my bedside and kept talking with me until I was feeling completely normal again,” the patient said. “Kay was absolutely awesome!” And we agree!
