Theresa Pituch, Registered Nurse, 4 East, Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center has been nominated for the DAISY AWARD by several patients and their family members.
Theresa is an exceptional nurse that goes above and beyond when providing care to her patients. She has been described as compassionate, caring, professional, supportive, and upbeat.
One nomination described the care she provided to a “patient dying of pancreatic cancer”. They stated she “exhibited compassion, caring, empathy, and sympathy that was truly outstanding. She was kind and interacted with the family members during one of the most difficult times in their lives. She treated the patient with respect and care, always addressing him by name, explaining what she was doing and why, even though he was in an almost comatose state. She allowed my friend to die with the dignity that he so deserved”.
Another family member, who is studying to become an RN, wrote: “You are the kind of Nurse I would like to be when I graduate. The way you cared for my father, in his time of need was, greatly appreciated, you are consistently caring, compassionate, and supportive, and always conduct yourself professionally”.
