Xena has been a ray of sunshine to me. I was so scared and in so much pain that I literally pushed the nurse call button about every 30 minutes during the roughest hours. Not one time did she act like I was bothering her. She came in with a smile on her face every time. She listened to me about my pain and used very good judgment in administering which pain meds to give me. Not only did she take care of my body to help me, but she also encouraged my spirit to keep a happy heart and positive thoughts. When you are in as much pain as I was and just afraid and scared, it really helps a lot when you have someone caring for you mentally and spiritually. I believe you have placed her in the perfect position working in the ICU where people need such personalized care. She was great and over the top. She is a great asset to West Houston Medical Center and when I recall my stay here, I will never forget how she cared for me. The hospital you choose is based on how the people (nurses) treat you and this was one of the best places I can remember out of my 56 years. Thank you, Xena.
