This is the hardest nomination I have written because you have meant more to our family during the last 8.5 months than I could ever put in words. I don't even think the words exist… Every day you are in, you check on all of your kids. For our family, you have been there during the darkest and most joyful moments. You truly care about my daughter. Always making sure she is in pink (blue is not her color) and trying to make her have experiences outside of her pod. Thank you for trying to take us outside, it means the world to me. Most nurses look to care for the cardiac point of the patient, whereas you pay just as much attention to the whole. Honestly, you have made the last 8.5 months more bearable. I'm glad we could watch our birds go to the Superbowl together. I will always remember how you brought my daughter to the elevator to meet us. We will miss you Rae. Your heart is rare and beautiful as my daughter's. Thank you for all that you do. This isn't goodbye but see you later. You are the best auntie Rae we could ever ask for. I know miss my daughter feels the same.
