I have severe anxiety and depression. I never come to the hospital alone, but I did this time. I hate hospital visits and usually have massive panic attacks. Josh Isaacs feels like a big brother. He made me feel safe. It feels like I am all alone in the world when no comes with me to the hospital, the loneliest feeling. Josh helped that feeling go away. I've never had that happen in a hospital before.
I also am terrified of any penetration of my veins. Josh worked gently, swiftly and even made me laugh during the process of administering the IV. I've never won anything before, but it would make me happy, even in the saddest parts of my heart to know that Josh won the DAISY Award. My PTSD makes my relationship with strangers very unstable, but every time he walks into my room I smile. You don't know who I am, but I promise you that's far from an easy task. If you're reading this, Josh, thank you. I've been so painfully sad lately. Thank you for giving me my first happy experience as a patient. Proceed, Hero!
