A daisy flower definitely brings some cheer to any room and I feel that Anjelica Jones does the same. Her amazing spirit, her care, and her concern are not an act because she was my nurse for quite a few days and she did her job every day with the enthusiasm that you would have on your 1st day on the job. She had the perfect balance of professionalism and being personable.
On day 1 I was unable to get out of bed and was attempting to put on makeup without a mirror. Anjelica quickly got me hers to use. I was receiving IV antibiotics and was required not to bend my arm otherwise she would have to come back in to restart. On the 6th time she had to come back in, I began to apologize that I had kinked it again; she laughed and said, "That's ok it's only the 6th time," as if most people kink it 50-60 times.
One day I mentioned she seemed really busy and Anjelica smiled and said, "That's ok, I'm going to get it all done." There was not one time when I buzzed that she did not show up in short order. She never spent much time chatting in my room because I'm sure she was giving her other patients that same attentive care she was giving me. She always signs her name with a heart beside it and I feel that's a reflection of who she is. Her love and compassion for people show in every task she does.
