Over the past 2 weeks, I have been to Parkwest four times for maternity care, with the 4th being delivery. Danielle has been with me for 3 of my 4 visits and has always been very caring and attentive. She stood out to me and my husband, both whom were about to be first-time parents, for how warm and personable she is. As first timers, we were very nervous about the whole process and she was very reassuring and thorough in explaining every step of the process. No matter how silly our questions may have seemed to others she treated each one with importance and never made us feel like we were wasting her time or being silly.
We feel incredibly grateful that we had her every step of the way, from me getting liquids and iron to taking lead on our daughter's birth when it was time to start pushing. The next morning before her shift even started she stopped in to see how were survived our first night as parents. She took what could have been a terrifying experience and made it less stressful and a little more peaceful, well, as peaceful as birth can get.
All of the nurses at Parkwest have been in amazing in the Labor and Delivery unit and we are truly thankful that we chose this hospital for our daughter's birth, but we really want to recognize our lead RN, Danielle, for how caring, attentive and personable she was. She made it very easy for us to put our trust in her.
