Kerry immediately established a rapport with my family with her pleasant demeanor and appearance. Everything about her states "Professional Nurse." For me, she helped make the difficult transition from hospital to rehab pleasant for me since I was absolutely resistant to rehab.
What puts this nurse above the average RN is that because I am a transplant recipient, I have learned to be regimented about when I take my anti-rejection medications. Upon becoming aware of this she had the times for my anti-rejection medications changed to my schedule, not the hospital schedule. Above and beyond #1.
As it turned out, I was required to be in therapy at the time of my medication, so at the designated time, Kerry would track me down in therapy to give me my anti-rejection meds on time. Above and beyond #2.
With that being said, she also made it a habit to track me down for my anti-rejection meds every day she was on duty in order to relieve my anxiety regarding the medications. Not an easy task,given that I am also an RN with high expectations.
