Ashlee Schwartz is the warmest, most compassionate nurse I know. She is a leader in our unit and encourages her co-workers to do better. Ashlee organizes several fundraisers for patients and families and is always willing to give. She gives her time by volunteering with the Salvation Army and she collects donations for underprivileged children. She collected candy and toys for Easter Baskets this year. She also pampers her patients to make what is ordinarily the worst time of their lives a little better. She will soak their feet or shampoo their hair and blow dry and style it for them. I hope to be as good as her one day.
