Katie Roscoe is a special nurse. Extraordinary in her clinical skills and leadership as a team lead, and compassionate in providing care and attending to our patients' needs.
Katie found out that one of our elderly patients missed his birthday party at the VFW while he was hospitalized. She worked with the family to arrange a birthday party for this veteran patient. His family and VFW buddies came to the cafeteria with a cake and party goodies. She contacted the physician to allow the patient to leave the floor and attend his party. He was very happy and surprised!
